A Certainly Rocky Road

Ben & Jerry's Limited Batch: Rocky Road-ish

I don't know one ice cream lover out there who doesn't love at least one of Ben & Jerry's many yummy and fun flavors; off the top of my head, I can think of at least three that I wish were huddled around me right at this moment!
Every so often B & J's likes to put out Limited Batch ice cream flavors to make us fans scurry from store to store searching for those coveted yummies. The other day I was lucky enough to find this new one, Rocky Road-ish... but unfortunately it wasn't anything special.
It is described as "toasted marshmallow ice cream with a toasted marshmallow swirl"--- what they should have said was "a subtly sweet caramel ice cream with a subtly sweet caramel swirl". The fudge covered almonds are definitely yummy, in fact when all of the elements are eaten together they work quite well... they just don't taste anything like marshmallow.

Once this pint is polished off, I don't think I rush out and buy another... ah well. you can't win 'em all!

An Afternoon with Brusters

Something I will never understand is why I never hear mention of Brusters! Not only is this place everywhere, but they also have an awesome selection of flavors that changes frequently and each is deliciously satisfying. My usual pick is Birthday Cake, but today I decided on something different and am reeeeally glad that I did.

Behold... Graham Central Station!

Graham flavored ice cream with a graham cracker swirl and dark chocolate shavings; it was akin to eating a delicious Teddy Graham sundae.

My fiance decided to not be as adventurous as I, and went with the classic banana split:

Chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream with sliced bananas, strawberries, pineapple puree', and tons of fluffy whipped cream with that yummy cherry on top.

Do yourself a favor, stop in and give their yummies a try... you'll get a sweet punch card!

Hello, Cookie Dough!

Prigel Family Creamery Ice Cream: Cookie Dough

Upon opening it I was worried that there would be only a few cookie dough pieces thrown in, therefore making this a glorified vanilla ice cream--- luckily, this was not the case. The ice cream was smooth, sweet, and creamy and contained the perfect amount of cookie dough.
Cookie Dough ice cream can be tricky when you don't know what you're doing and use plain vanilla ice cream, but Prigel Family did an excellent job!
